Hi, my name is Sandi Nicol. If
you are comfortable with speaking with people on the phones and/or have been a
Customer Service Representative in a Call Center environment and would like to
do this work at home, the company I work for is hiring for the position of CSP
(Customer Service Professional). Depending on the client you pick to
service, your starting pay will be $8 to $10 per hour and most clients allow
you to work up to 80 hours per week! However, you will be hired as an
Independent Contractor (you will get a 1099 Misc, not a W2 at tax season and
you are responsible for paying for all of your own taxes). Also, as an
IC, you will need to purchase the equipment necessary to do your work.
Everything is tax deductible, even your Internet & phone service is a write-off
on your taxes! You can write-off the room you set-up in, too! As
long as the room is in your home, you can write it off. If you need help
with any of this, either I, or my boss, can help you figure out what you
can/cannot write-off. Keep all of your bills and receipts, as you will
need them when you file your taxes.
Here is a list of what you will need to do this work-at-home position. Do not stress over obtaining them all at once, you can get these as you are financially able to buy them. Look for them on EBay, Amazon and other places you often find merchandise at discount prices. I would not recommend buying anything, unless you get at least a 30 day warranty. Once you have all items listed, contact me to get you interviewed and hired by the company I work for. My personal email is sandi.nicol@yahoo.com and my cell # is (951) 213-5068. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email, phone or text message.
- A desktop or laptop, has at least 2GB memory, is at least dual core, with any of the following OS: Windows 7, XP, 2000 (32 bit) - Windows 7 is the BEST one for this work-at-home position! Best if you can dedicate this computer to doing this work only. No other programs, apps, games, etc can be on your work station. Why? The software you will need to download to your computer may interfere with how your various entertainment and media programs work. Also, downloading such things may contain viruses and spyware that will compromise the confidentiality and safety of the company and of your clients. This means that you should not be using your work computer for web surfing or downloading of any kind. After you have received a few paychecks, you can purchase your dream desktop or laptop for your own personal use. No anti-virus, anti-spyware or anti-malware software on this computer. The company will provide you with this, for FREE!!! Any software required to do this work, will be provided by the company, their online techs will do it all for you!
- Internet Explorer 9 (any newer versions will need to be downgraded to IE 9)
- High Speed Internet service (DSL or Cable)
- Land line phone (Charter phone works)
- A gmail.com email address is preferred, but not required. However, I highly recommend you create one, if you do not have a gmail.com email account.
- An UPS surge protector device (UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply). Why? If you should ever lose power, the UPS device will give you up to 30 to 45 minutes of power so you can finish with the customer you are helping, save their info and log out of the system properly. Without a UPS device, in the event of a power outage, you would have lost all data and the caller.
- An USB headset with mute button
- A headset that plugs into your land line phone jack, with mute button
- A land line phone with mute button, can be plugged into the UPS device or uses batteries. My phone uses batteries, so I purchased rechargeable batteries and a battery charger. Recharge them after each shift and your work phone will never lose power.
- A dedicated land line phone number you can use just for this business. DO NOT give that number to anybody! Land Line cannot have any special features on it, such as: voicemail, answering machine, call waiting, call forwarding, etc.
- A quiet area where you can set-up your work space (no background noises, such as baby crying, dogs barking, kids screaming/playing, etc)
- Wireless devices, Wi-Fi, VoIP and other such wireless devices/services will not work for this position.
